Q: What is TRIP?A: A fast and easy way for you to earn credit to put toward your tuition, fees and/or for your school or parish! If you buy groceries, eat out, shop for household items or pay bills, there is a way for you to earn credit toward tuition for School, Religious Education, Preschool and Childcare at St. Michael, or directly to the general scholarship fund or endowment fund for the school or parish. You can do this without spending any extra money or having to sell any products.-------
Q: How does TRIP work?A: The program works by having discounted retail/restaurant gift certificates available for individuals/families to purchase. Each of the participating merchants sets their own discount percentage rate. It is this percent, less 1%, that you earn to be applied towards school or religious education tuition, childcare or preschool fees, parish or school endowments, scholarship fund and/or future account funds. St. Michael Parish will retain 1% of all sales to help offset postage, marketing, and other miscellaneous operating expenses.Example: If you spend $100.00 on gas at Speedway, you give us a check for $100.00 and receive $100.00 of Speedway gift cards that day. We pay Speedway $96.00 you receive $3.00 towards your tuition, fees, endowments etc. and $1.00 goes to St. Michael School. -------
Q: Who can participate?A: Enrollment is open to anyone. Credit can be earned for any child, the parish and the parish school. All are encouraged to invite family members, neighbors, etc, to participate in this program. People participating determine where they want their profit to be credited. Parishioners without children in any of our programs may designate their credit to go toward another family, grandchildren, future tuition, general scholarship fund, and parish or school endowments.-------
Q: What gift cards are available?A: A select list of vendors are available for purchase as cash and carry on a daily basis. To view the list or download the form please select the TRIP ON HAND form below. Gift cards for merchants not listed on our TRIP ON-HAND form may be ordered through our TRIP SPECIAL ORDER FORM. Orders are paid for and placed ahead of receiving the certificates. Please check with the parish office for the special order schedule.-------
Q: How do I enroll?A: You may enroll by downloading the enrollment form found below. Froms can be mailed, emailed, faxed, or dropped off at the parish or school office.-------
Q: When and where do I purchase my gift cards?A: TRIP is available ON-HAND/CASH and CARRY after each Mass on the weekends, and available every day in the parish office. Office hours for TRIP distribution are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Friday hours are 8:30 am – 11:30 am. TRIP is not sold on Fridays after 11:30 am.-------
Q: How and when do I receive my credit?A: All credits are earned and applied to your account of choice three times per year. November - February purchases are applied in March, March - June purchases are applied in July and July - October purchases are applied in November.------- Q: How can I get involved with the TRIP program?A: TRIP is a volunteer run program. It takes many volunteers to make the program run smoothly and efficiently.
