St. Michael School is committed to encouraging health and fitness. It was decided in 2007 that instead of the usual cookie dough fundraiser, the school would have a 5K run/walk event instead. The first ever St. Mike’s Race for Faith was a huge success and the race has now become the school’s annual fall fundraiser.
St. Mike’s Race for Faith is an event for the whole family. In 2008 the race was endorsed by the Governor’s Physical Fitness council because of it’s commitment to encourage family participation in physical activity.
If you’re looking for a fun day with the family, then St. Mike’s Race for Faith is the place to be. This year’s race will take place on September 11, 2010. The race will begin at St. Michael’s school in Grand Ledge. A kid’s race will kick off the event at 6:00pm. There will be a post race picnic with fruit, pizza, and subs! This is a kid friendly event with games, a playground, and two large inflatables! Mark the date to enjoy a day filled with physical activity, music, food and fun!
