Welcome
God has called each of us to holiness. The role of our parish is to “aid and abet in the creation of saints”. We do this by fostering an environment where the Holy Spirit can freely work among us. First and foremost we do this through our prayer together, when we gather for Sunday Eucharist. We seek to be formed in our faith, young and old and those in between, by our parish school, religious education program, and programs of adult faith formation. We desire to serve “the least of our brothers and sisters” and to find in them the presence of Christ through our Christian Service activities.

Our parish has a rich history, vibrant programs, committed parishioners and staff, and tremendous potential. We invite you and encourage you to be an active part of our parish community that together we may respond to God’s call to growth in holiness.

Your Brother in Christ,   Father James Eisele - Pastor

In This Week's Bulletin

Dear Parishioners,

Year of St. Paul
Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Peter and St. Paul.It is also the beginning of a yearlong commemoration of the 2000th anniversary of the birth of St. Paul. While we don’t know the exact date of his birth, the observance of a Pauline year provides us with a good opportunity to reflect on Paul as one of the most important and influential figures in Christian history.the 27 books in the New Testament, 13 are attributed to Paul.More than half of the Acts of the Apostles is devoted to Paul’s conversion and his apostolic activities in spreading the good news of Jesus around the Mediterranean world. Last week in my homily, I encouraged all of us to read St. Paul’s letter to the Romans, considered by many to be his most significant letter. Our second reading will be from Romans almost every Sunday for the next 3 months. To give both you and me an additional incentive to read Romans in the next few weeks, I am scheduling a “Theology on Tap” in the Siena room, Wednesday, July 23rd from 7-8pm.“BYOB” – bring a bible and bring a beverage and we’ll see if a bunch of Catholics can make some sense out of Paul and his message.
Thank you Bridget!
Today after the 10:30am liturgy we will have a reception for Bridget Sweet, our choir director this past year.We thank Bridget for the enthusiasm and love of music she has shared with our choir and congregation. Our prayers and best wishes are with her and her husband Jason as they prepare to move to Pennsylvania.

Our Mission
We, the members of St. Michael Parish, are disciples of Jesus Christ. We are a welcoming community in the greater Grand Ledge area, belonging to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lansing.

With the help of the Holy Spirit, we nurture our faith and life-long formation through Word and Sacrament. We grow in holiness by faith-sharing, prayer, worship, stewardship and service. We live by the Gospel, sharing our faith through witness and compassion. We resolve to reach beyond ourselves, dedicated to the spiritual enrichment and needs of each other, our neighbors and the world.
