Welcome

God has called each of us to holiness. The role of our parish is to aid and abet in the creation of saints. We do this by fostering an environment where the Holy Spirit can freely work among us. First and foremost we do this through our prayer together, when we gather for Sunday Eucharist. We seek to be formed in our faith, young and old and those in between, by our parish school, religious education program, and programs of adult faith formation. We desire to serve the least of our brothers and sisters” and to find in them the presence of Christ through our Christian Service activities.

Our parish has a rich history, vibrant programs, committed parishioners and staff, and tremendous potential. We invite you and encourage you to be an active part of our parish community that together we may respond to God's call to growth in holiness.

Fr. Jim's Journal

Dear Parishioners,

As I announced last weekend, Stephanie D’Huyvetter our Day Care Director has taken a teaching position at St. Thomas Aquinas school. We congratulate Stephanie in her new role and thank her for her dedicated service to our children and families.

August 27th marks the 20th Anniversary of my ordination to priesthood. I was ordained with Father Terry Dumas and we will be celebrating together with a trip to the Shaw Festival Monday through Thursday. I am grateful to God and to the People of God in the 6 parishes I have served over these last 20 years, especially these last 4 plus years at St. Michael. I went to the prospective seminarian gathering in DeWitt last Sunday, and witnessing the enthusiasm and faith of our seminarians was a source of renewal and hope for the future.

Have a great week,

Father Jim Eisele

We resolve to reach beyond ourselves, dedicated to the spiritual enrichment and needs of each other, our neighbors and the world.
