The Saint Michael Pastoral Council is the primary and formal means for its pastor and parishioners to meet and discuss the needs and hopes of the parish community. The Saint Michael Pastoral Council has the responsibility to set the Parish Directive in a process of pastoral planning that will:

| Worship Commission | |
| Music | The Music ministry helps strive to meet the challenge of enhancing all celebrations and to lead the community in prayer. Through our hymns and responses, the singing of our choirs and the sounds of our instruments, music enables us to add the beauty and solemnity to our worship. |
| Lectors | The Lector proclaims the scriptures in a way that reminds us God's word is alive here and now. |
| Hospitality | This ministry provides the opportunity to extend Christ's love to both friend and stranger in a wide range of ministries; helping with receptions after special liturgical occasions as well as greeting, welcoming and handing out worship aids for special liturgies. |
| Eucharistic Ministers | This ministry enables us to emphasize the communal ownership of the liturgy and the Eucharistic Minister facilitates the distribution of the Eucharist in the form of bread and wine. The Eucharistic Minister also provides the Eucharist to the homebound. |
| Environment & Art | Ministry that helps create seasonal décor which is honest, genuine and well crafted. |
| Mass Coordinators | This ministry serves the assembly and the ministers by preparing the physical elements needed for Mass. They prepare the vessels, the bread, the wine, and the scriptures that are needed for the liturgies. |
| Altar Servers | This ministry serves the minister with assistance when a liturgy service is occurring. |

| Education Commission offers support for the various facets vital to the development of the education and spiritual formation of our parish community. | |
| Child & Youth Formation | |
| Religious Education Program | The Religious Education Program (REP) provides developmentally appropriate formal religious formation for children and youth 3 years of age through grade 12 in spirituality, Catholic tradition, prayer, morality and scripture. |
| St. Michael School | The mission of St. Michael Parish School is the overall development of each student's intellectual, moral and spiritual growth. |
| Youth Ministry | The Catholic Youth Community (CYC) provides a variety of social, spiritual and service activities for youth grades 6th through 12th, so that they may grow in faith, develop healthy relationships and serve others in Christ. |
| P.T.O | Parent and Teacher Organization strives to meet the needs of our school community through social gatherings, fundraisers and educational speakers for both students and parents. |
| Adult Formation | |
| FOCCUS - Marriage Preparation | A multi-faceted program of preparation for the sacrament of marriage, which includes FOCCUS (relationship inventory), Communication Workshops and Basic Catholicism classes in accordance with Diocesan guidelines. |
| Baptism Preparation | A two-session program required of parents of infants to assist them in preparation for the baptism of their child and strong Catholic parenting. |
| Bible Study | Little rock Scripture Study (6-10 week) learning units provides opportunity for groups to grow in knowledge and understanding of Scripture and live it's message in a more concrete manner. |
| RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults | RCIA is the process by which this community of faith forms and welcomes adults and children of catechetical age into the Catholic faith tradition. |
| Small Christian Faith Groups | Small home based groups of adults, who meet regularly, either seasonally or year round, to reflect on Scripture and share faith together. |

| Homebound Ministry | The Homebound Ministry is caring for the needs of those who are unable to venture outside the home without much difficulty. They require the services of a Homebound Eucharistic Minister, transportation services, visitations and sometimes Befriending. |
| St. Vincent DePaul | St. Vincent DePaul provides monetary and physical assistance to those in need. |
| BeFrienders | Befriender Ministry is a listening ministry to assist parishioners with a myriad of needs. |
| Grand Ledge Right to Life | Grand Ledge Right to Life works constantly to bring home the message of defending the rights of the unborn. |
| Bishop's Council on Alcoholism Substance Abuse | The Bishop's Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse renders community service and counseling to parishioners in need. |
| Parish Health Ministry | The Parish Health Ministry was organized to promote good physical, mental and emotional health in all our parishioners and to encourage cooperation and community participation with other churches in this matter. |
| Bereavement Ministry | Kitchen helpers who welcome and serve guests or prepare a salad or dessert for funeral luncheon. |

| Peace and Social Justice | The Peace and Social Justice Ministry seeks to inform and instruct parishioners in matter of social justice and peace matters. It is involved in the African Ministry, Amnesty International, Eaton Shelter and Letter/Card Writing. |
| Parish & Family Life Commission | |
| M.O.M.S. Mothers of Many Seasons | Mothers of Many Seasons (M.O.M.S.) is a weekly support group for mothers of all ages and faiths. Our purpose is to develop a deeper understanding of our Christian faith and its application in our daily life. |
| Single for any Reason | Singles from all walks of life gather together as people who have been divorced, widowed or never been married. We join together to share common experiences, pray, provide service and be active in the life and mission of our parish. |
| Council on Aging | The Lansing Area Catholic Council on Aging (LACCA) is a core component of aging ministry in the Diocese of Lansing. The LACCA links senior parishioners between the diocese and the catholic parishes in Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton Counties. Council members encourage each other and those whom they represent to participate in diocesan, parish and community life and to enhance their spiritual and personal goals. |
| Jitney Jets | The senior group (anyone 55 and older) of St. Michael Parish is to provide fellowship for our young at heart members through luncheons, card games, day-trips, etc. as well as assisting with Parish Activities through visiting the sick, fundraising, serving on commissions and other volunteer work. |
| Youth Ministry | The Catholic Youth Community (CYC) is a youth group for young people in grades 6th-12th. Our goal is to join in the life and mission of the parish. As a youth community we strive to provide a fun, safe environment to grow in our faith, develop healthy relationships and serve others in Christ. We do this by providing various social, spiritual and service activities. |

| Scouts - Boys and Girls | |
| Young Adults | We strive to provide young adults (20's to 30's) an experience of community within the church. We encourage young adults to become more active in the life and the mission of our parish by sharing faith and providing service to church and community. |
| Knights of Columbus | Council 7311 is a group of Catholic men committed to charity, unity, fraternity, volunteerism and patriotism. We willingly donate time and energy in support of the community, our families, our youth, charitable organizations and our parish. |
| Stewardship Commission | |
| The Stewardship Commission is about calling all men, women and children to committing themselves to a life of stewardship in sharing of their time, talent and treasures for the glory and praise of God. | |
| Stewardship Development Committee | The Stewardship Development Committee will address the Annual Stewardship Appeal and the Stewardship Education of the parish. |
| The Marketing Committee | The Marketing Committee is fostering an awareness of the benefits, programs, opportunities and activities within the parish. |
| Welcoming Committee | The Welcoming Committee will address welcoming new parishioners and helping them become an active member of our St. Michael stewardship community. |
