Welcome

God has called each of us to holiness. The role of our parish is to aid and abet in the creation of saints. We do this by fostering an environment where the Holy Spirit can freely work among us. First and foremost we do this through our prayer together, when we gather for Sunday Eucharist. We seek to be formed in our faith, young and old and those in between, by our parish school, religious education program, and programs of adult faith formation. We desire to serve the least of our brothers and sisters” and to find in them the presence of Christ through our Christian Service activities.

Our parish has a rich history, vibrant programs, committed parishioners and staff, and tremendous potential. We invite you and encourage you to be an active part of our parish community that together we may respond to God's call to growth in holiness.

Fr. Jim's Journal

Dear Parishioners,

This weekend is the annual Catholic Education Appeal in all the parishes of the greater Lansing area. The goal of the appeal is to raise money for scholarships to assist families with tuition for Catholic schools . This appeal has been very helpful in making it possible for several students to attend St. Michael School. In addition, this appeal also makes it possible for our parish to receive funds toward our religious education program. Your support of the Catholic Education Appeal this weekend is greatly appreciated.

We will be celebrating Welcome Home weekend on December 13-14th . This is the fifth year that the parishes in the Lansing area have worked together through billboards, TV commercials, and events at the parish level to “Remember, Reconnect, and Renew” with anyone who has been away from the active practice of their faith. am grateful to our Knights of Columbus council for their continued sponsorship of this outreach. Cards are available to invite family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers, but certainly the best way is personally inviting and offering to come to church with someone you know that weekend. There are some good pamphlets in the back of church from Our Sunday Visitor on this issue. pray for all who are separated from their faith for whatever reason.

Have a great week,
Father Jim Eisele
