Adult Faith Formation


Adult Faith Hospitality Team

Position Description: Join us in providing a welcoming, social environment at our Adult Faith Formation offerings.  Ways to help include greeting participants, taking sign-in, maintaining refreshments, and more. 
Time Commitment: Team members will be contacted in advance and will be free to choose which events/programs they would like to help with. You are also able to participate in those offerings for which you provide hospitality. 
Talent to Share: A heart open to others and generous in service.

Bible Study

Position Description: The Bible invites us to explore God’s word and reflect on ways to respond to it. Through Bible study we discover meaningful insights that explain Scripture in a way that is faithful to Church teaching and is guided by recognized biblical teachers. In each session you will share prayer, watch videos, and discuss your insights and/or questions.
Time Commitment: Groups form at various times throughout the year, usually committing to a session of six to ten weeks, meeting weekly for one to two hours.  Some outside reading time may occur between meetings.
Talent to Share: Interest in Scripture and willingness to share faith

Marriage Preparation FOCCUS Couple

Position Description: Active faith-filled couple who are living out the vocation of marriage.
Time Commitment: Three or four meetings with an engaged couple; generally assigned one to two couples per year.
Talent to Share: Open to sharing with engaged couples about all aspects of marriage and how our faith plays a central role in the sacrament.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

Position Description: The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process offered by the Catholic Church for persons who have an interest in becoming members of the Church. This includes the un-baptized, and those baptized in another Christian denomination. The Catholic Church welcomes new members and thus tries to provide appropriate spiritual formation according to each person’s needs.
Time Commitment: Two hour meetings weekly for about 30 weeks. The actual number of weeks depends on each individual person’s needs.

RCIA Team

Position Description: Walk the faith journey with RCIA catechumen or candidate. A variety of possible  options for involvement in assisting with the RCIA process.
Time Commitment: RCIA meets weekly September through April. Time will vary depending on the options you choose to be involved with.
Talent to Share: Willingness to share your faith and learn more about it.
