First Reconciliation

"Those who approach the sacrament of Penance [Reconciliation] obtain pardon from God's mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their conversion" (Lumen Gentium 11:2).

2. Regular attendance at Liturgy
3. Completion of parish or parish school religious education program the year prior to preparing for the sacrament.
4. Enrolled in parish or parish school religious education program the year of the sacrament.

Description: Celebrating God’s endless love and mercy and acknowledging our often inadequate efforts to live as children of God is an integral part of our understanding of who we are as Catholic Christians. We do this through a series of workshops and family learning time. Preparation begins in early fall and ends with First Reconciliation in late November or early December.
